Steps (general):
Power off the printer.
Open the top/front cover as directed.
Carefully remove the empty cartridge.
Insert the new cartridge until it clicks.
Close the cover and restart the printer.
Turn off the printer.
Open all access panels (front, back, tray).
Gently pull out any jammed paper—do not tear.
Remove any small scraps left inside.
Restart the printer and test a print job.
Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the network or USB
On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and set it as Default
On Chromebook: Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing, and check if your printer is listed and selected
Most printers offer a test page or status report function:
